The Running Event (TRE), North America’s largest running specialty trade show, has entered into a partnership with Running USA to develop and implement conference programming for race directors at the event taking place November 30 to December 2, 2021 in Austin, TX.
To be held on Tuesday, November 30, in conjunction with retailer-specific education, The Running Event’s Race Director track will include five conference sessions focused on exploring key industry issues and emerging opportunities. Running USA will guide the creation and development of the content, including speaker recruitment and participation.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Running USA for the Race Director conference education at TRE 2021,” says Christina Henderson, executive director of The Running Event. “Their deep industry expertise ensures attendees will get the most actionable education and insightful perspectives.
“Expanding the educational opportunities at TRE also enables us to unite this passionate community of race directors, retailers, and brands in one place for meaningful connection and peer-to-peer learning,” Henderson adds.
Founded in 1999, Running USA is committed to educating those within the sport of running and the endurance business. The organization specializes in creating actionable and impactful content that provides event directors and organizers the resources they need to grow and excel.
"Running USA is pleased to be working side by side with The Running Event to develop educational content for its December 2021 event,” says Christine Bowen, VP–programming, operations and partnerships for Running USA. “This will be one of the first opportunities for the industry to come together en masse, and Running USA plans to elevate the race director content offered at the event while addressing timely topics that are top of mind for all."
“I attended the very first TRE in 2006 and have always been impressed by the number of running brands and retailers in attendance,” adds Dawna Stone, CEO of Running USA. “I’m thrilled to bring Running USA’s educational content to such a highly respected industry event. The TRE/Running USA partnership benefits both organizations and the attendees.”
