Expanding its corporate retail store presence in a key running market, Fleet Feet recently opened a second store in Pittsburgh, this one located at the East End of Pittsburgh at 186 Bakery Square Boulevard. The store features Fleet Feet’s outfitting experience, fit id, which uses 3D foot scanning technology and a sensitive pressure plate to guide trained outfitters in identifying the right shoe for customers.

The store is the second Fleet Feet location in Pittsburgh and the fourth in Pennsylvania. The Bethel Park location opened in 2001 as a locally owned franchise and last year with the retirement of owner Bob Shooer, it transitioned to a company-owned store.

Fleet Feet Pittsburgh has worked closely with various community partners, including the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Pittsburgh Pirates and Girls on the Run. The Bakery Square store will offer Sunday group runs, Speed Demons track nights, Thursday pub runs, and coached training programs for 5ks and trail running.

“At Fleet Feet Pittsburgh, our mission is to inspire and empower the runner in everyone,” explains Deb Doyle, Fleet Feet’s district manager for the Northeast. “Our entire team is committed to making running as accessible as possible in Pittsburgh. We’re thrilled to support and serve the East End community.”

“Fleet Feet has been an integral part of the Pittsburg community for more than 20 years,” addsd John Moloznik, VP–retail development at Fleet Feet. “Our vision is to be the city’s go-to resource and destination for all things running, and we know we have the right team in place to do just that.”
