Nike Unveils AirFlow Track Apparel

Nike introduced its Radical AirFlow apparel on the track at the recent Prefontaine Classic. The line had already been used on the trails and this marked its first appearance in a track setting.

Radical AirFlow uses air to help athletes stay cooler and more comfortable during competition and the technology is built to support performance across the demands of high-level racing.

A group of athletes wore the apparel at the meet, including Kenny Bednarek, Rai Benjamin, Tara Davis-Woodhall, Cole Hocker, Keely Hodgkinson, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, Faith Kipyegon, Sha'Carri Richardson, Masai Russell, Letsile Tebogo and Hunter Woodhall.

New Product: Norda 055 Shoe

Norda recently launched its 055, a shoe designed to perform across varied terrain and distances. The 055 introduces several new design and material choices for the brand, combining speed-oriented construction with added stability for longer efforts.

At the heart of the shoe sits a 100 percent Arnitel TPEE midsole with a resilience rating greater than 75 percent, meaning more than three-quarters of the energy from each footfall is returned to the runner. This allows runners to cover more ground with reduced fatigue. Unlike many traditional midsole foams, Arnitel is designed to maintain stable mechanical properties across a range of temperatures and climates.

The uppers are built from bio-circular Dyneema, a woven material that is lightweight and is up to 15 times stronger than steel by weight. It is designed to offer breathability and drainage. The same bio-circular Dyneema blend is used on the sawtooth laces.

The 055 also introduces a knit tongue and collar, a first for Norda, to work with the structured heel to improve fit and lockdown while limiting debris entry. Underfoot, a Norda x Vibram soleplate combines Megagrip Elite, Vibram's high-performance compound, with Litebase technology, which reduces soleplate weight by 30 percent. The traction pattern is based on the Norda 001A outsole, retaining its lug placement and depth, with some secondary linework removed to further reduce weight.

HydraPak Debuts Fuel Collection

HydraPak has introduced its Fuel Collection, a reusable set of tools built to address the growing complexity of endurance nutrition. The modular system covers each stage of fueling, from measuring and mixing to carrying and consuming.

The launch aims to respond to a shift in how runners and cyclists fuel. It is becoming increasingly common for runners and athletes to take in more carbohydrates, use bulk nutrition products and adjust their strategies based on race distance, intensity and conditions. Yet the tools for preparing and carrying that nutrition have lagged behind. Narrow-neck bottles and flasks can be hard to fill, spilled product tends to go to waste and single-serve packaging leaves athletes managing wrappers and empty packets during training and racing.

The collection is built around the idea that there is no single fueling strategy that works for everyone, so its pieces are made to adapt to different nutrition formats and product viscosities. The FuelKit is an organization system that includes a Fuel Scoop, a Fuel Funnel, two large FuelPaks and a catch tray, all housed in a zippered case with space for bulk nutrition and race-day essentials. The FuelPak is a roll-top storage pouch for powders, chews and mixed products, featuring wide openings, measurement markings and leakproof construction, and it comes in small and large sizes.

The Fuel Funnel threads directly onto HydraPak bottles and flasks to reduce spills, while the adjustable Fuel Scoop measures a range of fueling products. The FuelFlask, available in 150ml and 250ml Softflask versions, uses interchangeable caps for both liquids and high-viscosity nutrition.

The system also aligns with the brands shift toward more sustainable nutrition. By enabling runners to buy and organize nutrition in bulk, the Fuel Collection aims to reduce reliance on single-serve packaging.

Paradis Sport Unveils Marie Paradis Collection
Paradis Sport recently introduced its Marie Paradis Collection, including new Merino blend underwear and the brand’s first-ever sports bra. The collection honors the brand’s namesake, Marie Paradis, who was the first woman to summit Mont Blanc, the tallest peak in the Alps. July 14 also marked the 218th anniversary of her historic ascent.
During her expedition up the 15,771-foot mountain, maidservant-turned-mountaineer Marie Paradis wore Mother Nature’s performance fabric: wool. Inspired by her enduring spirit and wardrobe, Paradis’s new collection of seamless Merino blend styles is made to move.
The collection features a seamless bikini and racerback sports bra, both crafted from a high-performance Merino blend and offered in four shades: resolve indigo, courage crimson, graphite grit and spirit violet.

Alwrld Summer Collection Launched
Fashion-forward apparel brand Alwrld recently launched its summer collection, introducing two fabric technologies aimed at improving comfort during warm-weather training.

The first is the CooLux liner, built into the brand's shorts. The liner is designed to move sweat away from the skin during high-intensity efforts and to retain its shape over repeated wear, which helps keep the fit consistent over time. It appears in the men's and women's Featherweight Short and the men's NBP Short.

The second is Butter-Fly, an update to the brand's singlet knit. Alwrld adjusted the loop structure and increased the twist of each fiber to expand the fabric's surface area without adding bulk. The design speeds moisture-wicking, reduces clinging in hot conditions and cuts the fabric's weight by 10 percent compared with the previous version.

It is available in the men's Tech Singlet and women's Crop Mesh Singlet.

Royal Robbins Receives Innovation Award
Royal Robbins has won a 2026 Red Dot Award for innovative product design for its Expedition III Shirt, which features the brand's Mosquito Protection Technology (MPT). The Red Dot Awards, established in 1955, recognize design across three categories: Product Design, Brands and Communication Design, and Design Concept.

The Expedition III Shirt uses a proprietary fabric that combines MPT with UPF 40+ sun protection. Rather than relying on chemical treatments, MPT uses a tight-weave fabric to create a barrier against mosquitoes that does not wash or wear away over time. The shirt is made from 100 percent recycled poly ripstop, weighs 4.5 ounces and is moisture-wicking, quick-drying and wrinkle- and stain-resistant. It includes an adjustable fold-up collar and cuffs and two zip-secured chest pockets.

"MPT solves one of the most persistent frustrations in the outdoors — mosquitoes! We did this without resorting to toxic chemicals and repellents that can harm both people and the environment. Seeing this innovation recognized by Red Dot is a meaningful milestone for the brand and for the small but mighty team behind it," says Erik Burbank, Brand President of Royal Robbins.

MPT has received prior recognition, including a place on Popular Science's Greatest Innovations of 2024, TIME's Best Inventions of 2025, and the first CNN Underscored Innovation Award earlier this year.

New Product: Salomon Aero Blaze 4
Salomon has released the Aero Blaze 4, the latest version of its road running shoe designed for daily mileage and faster-paced runs. The Aero Blaze 4 uses an updated optiFOAM² midsole. According to Salomon, the midsole offers more rebound than the previous version while maintaining softer landings, intended to support comfort over longer runs.

The shoe carries over reverseCAMBER geometry, a curved midsole shape drawn from Salomon's ski background. The design aims to support heel-to-toe transitions and has been adjusted in this version to provide a more consistent rolling feel throughout the stride.

For the upper, the Aero Blaze 4 uses an engineered mesh that varies in structure across the foot. The company says this approach provides support and flexibility where needed while improving airflow. A lightly cushioned tongue adds step-in comfort.

Underfoot, a road-specific contaGRIP outsole handles traction on dry and wet asphalt. Salomon reduced the outsole material through zoning while keeping durability in high-wear areas, lowering the overall weight compared with the prior version.

Adidas Introduces Kaphiros Sunglasses
Adidas Eyewear has introduced the Kaphiros, a rimless sport sunglass designed for running. The Kaphiros uses a rimless mask construction that removes the lower border found on traditional frames. This is intended to keep the wearer's downward line of sight open, which can help with scanning trails or checking a watch while moving.

The sunglasses feature the POWERVIZN Lens System, which uses High Contrast technology to define surfaces and terrain transitions. The lenses also feature dual-sided hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings that repel sweat, water, and smudges.

For fit, the Kaphiros features fully adjustable temples and nosepads, along with a rubber-grip interior designed to hold the frame in place and limit bouncing or sliding during sweaty efforts.

The design also incorporates ventilation slots along the temples. These are intended to keep air moving across the inner lens to reduce fogging.

Kizik Adds Freedom Trail Shoe
Kizik is adding a trail shoe to its Freedom line. The Freedom Trail, priced at $149.95, follows the recent release of the brand's first performance running shoe and builds on the Freedom Run platform, adding features aimed at off-road use.

The Freedom Trail keeps Kizik's HandsFree Labs technology, which lets wearers step into the shoe without bending down. This is supported by the Internal Flex Arc system, which provides the brand's step-in fit. Underfoot, the shoe uses a VivaFoam midsole for cushioning and a rocker sole intended to support heel-to-toe transitions.

For traction, the Freedom Trail features dual-directional lugs on a rubber outsole designed to grip uneven terrain and shed debris. A rubber toe cap adds protection on rocky ground. The upper is made from mono mesh with no-sew overlays, and an adaptive bungee eyelet system provides an adjustable fit. Reflective detailing is included for visibility in low light.

Nike Releases Pre Classic Collection
Nike has released its Pre Classic Collection, a line of race-day apparel designed for track and field competition. The collection uses a reduced color palette built around Electric Green and Bright Crimson, paired with darker tones. Nike says the palette is meant to remain visible from a distance on the track. The visual identity also references University of Oregon sport culture.

For the design, Nike drew on themes of growth, breath and movement for its race-day prints. The apparel incorporates layered textures and circular motifs, which the company describes as a way to reflect the rhythm of competition and an athlete's progression and preparation.

The Pre Classic Collection offers a range of race-day silhouettes, including singlets, shorts, tights, and outer layers. It comes in both men's and women's kits. Nike has also included accessories such as arm sleeves, leg sleeves, and headbands to complete the range.

New Product: POVEX Sunglasses
The POVEC C1 is a new pair of running sunglasses built to keep pace with terrain that never stops changing. Engineered specifically for high-speed running across unpredictable terrain, the 36g ultra-lightweight C1 features a secure TR90 wraparound frame and customizable nose pads to eliminate bouncing and visual fatigue.

Traditional photochromic lenses can hinder runnerseyesight for 30 to 60 seconds during transitions. The C1 helps to eliminate that lag entirely. Using Stanford-born, solid-state electrochromic technology, it gives the runner direct tint control. With a swipe on the frame, runners gain immediate, on-demand control to transition from CAT 2 clarity under dense forest canopy to CAT 3 glare reduction in blinding, open sunlight. According to POVEC, that shift takes under one second.

Durability is also a core part of the design. The C1 carries an IP65 weatherproof rating to handle heavy sweat and rain, while advanced contrast enhancement supports trail scanning on technical ground. The battery lasts 28 days, covering weeks of training on a single charge.

The POVEC C1 is priced at $249.

NuYarn Partners With Unknown Runner
NuYarn Technologies has entered into a partnership with Unknown Runner, a Flagstaff, AZ-based maker of Merino performance apparel for trail runners. The partnership supports Unknown Runner's debut Courser Collection, a Merino wool system built for hot and variable trail conditions. The collection uses a 115 gsm fabric with an open-knit structure and a blend of 63 percent Merino wool, 29 percent polyester and eight percent nylon. The mix is designed to provide temperature regulation, moisture management, odor resistance, and next-to-skin comfort during high-output runs.

The fabric relies on Nuyarn's drafting technology, which wraps Merino around a nylon filament to create a yarn that is lighter, dries faster and holds up longer than standard wool yarn. Combined with polyester knitting, the process produces an ultralight fabric made to breathe well, dry quickly, and maintain performance through repeated use.

Nike Running Unveils Keely Hodgkinson Collection
Nike Running is introducing the Keely Hodgkinson Collection, the first signature athlete pack from its namesake middle-distance champion, capturing the speed, focus and individuality of one of the sport’s defining athletes. Spanning apparel and footwear, the collection captures Keely’s duality. On the track, she’s relentless, dominant and operating in a category of her own. Away from training and competition, she’s unfiltered, magnetic and unapologetically herself.
This tension — between calm and chaos, control and unpredictability — defines Keely’s performance and presence, informing every detail of the collection. A grounded black foundation speaks to her understated confidence, while metallic gold accents go beyond symbolism, representing both her achievements as an Olympic, world and European champion and her continued pursuit of greatness.
Each piece also underscores Keely’s commitment to working alongside Nike researchers and designers to provide athlete insights that help guide product innovation for both elite and everyday runners.
The collection integrates pinnacle Nike innovation into silhouettes designed to reflect not just how Keely performs, but also how she shows up.
At the center of the apparel pack are elevated performance essentials, including an AeroSwift pocket crop top and AeroSwift tight 5-inch short, featuring Dri-FIT ADV technology for advanced cooling to help athletes stay dry and comfortable. Thoughtful details include storage pockets for race-day fuel and versatile, stay-put fits, ensuring athletes can focus on performance without distraction.
Complementing these pieces are a Nike Pro Sculpt long-sleeve top and Nike Pro Sculpt 5-inch short that feature tonal graphics and satin Swoosh detailing for an elevated aesthetic. Subtle references to Keely’s identity, such as her Nike signature tornado logo, create a cohesive visual story that blends motion, energy and control across each piece in her first signature collection.
The collection’s footwear lineup delivers a complete system engineered for every aspect of training and racing.

·       The Vomero Plus provides maximum cushioning through a plush, full-length ZoomX foam midsole, making the silhouette Keely’s top pick for recovery runs.

·       The Pegasus 42 offers a responsive, everyday ride with a curved, full-length Air Zoom unit and ReactX foam midsole, providing standout energy return and versatility for daily training.

·       As Keely’s go-to interval trainer, the Vaporfly 4 features a full-length carbon fiber Flyplate and ZoomX cushioning that deliver a propulsive feel and bouncy, feathery ride that can power runners on race day from the mile to half marathon and beyond.

·       The Victory 2 spike rounds out the collection, combining an Air Zoom unit, ZoomX foam and carbon fiber plate to provide a propulsive, stable feel for middle-distance events.
