Expanding is reach in its southeast base, Big Peach Running Co. will be opening a new store in Monroe, GA, this month.

The new store will be in the space formerly occupied by Active Soles, continuing an established tradition of serving the local running, walking and fitness communities. The Big Peach’s team has been working with Active Soles partner, Matthew Chancey, and his team over the past few weeks to ensure a smooth transition and continuation of the meaningful work they have already done with numerous local partners.

"Monroe and Walton County are growing smart and fast for many reasons,” Big Peach founder Mike Cosentino tells Running Insight. “Not the least of which is its enthusiasm for and investment in outdoor, fitness and family activities.  To continue the terrific work commenced by Active Soles in this community will be a great privilege for us and done in complete harmony with the future of this special place."  

Located between Atlanta and Athens, the new location will provide the same fitting services, inventory selection and commitment to special events as other Big Peach stores. As a consistent recipient of the Best Running Stores award, Big Peach helps its guests find the footwear, apparel and accessories best suited to their individual needs and active lifestyles.

At a recent Monroe Run Club event attended by both Big Peach and Active Soles, former store owner Chancey indicated that  “Monroe is already home to an active and expanding community of runners, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, making it a terrific fit for Big Peach’s commitment to hospitality and guest services. I’m excited about the next chapter for this store and to see its continued growth.” 

The Monroe Big Peach location will carry the same brands as other locations, including On, Nike, Hoka, Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Puma and Altra.
